Another Sign?

While in Florida for Thanksgiving, we took advantage of the beautiful beach scenery to take our annual Christmas photo - in our "Josh" T-shirts, of course.

After taking the picture, Lauren, Gillian and I decided to stay and watch the sunset since we were leaving in the morning. In my heart, I am always hoping to see a sign that Josh is okay. While we were waiting for the sun to go down, all three of us saw something most unusual. In the sky, were two short vertical lines that were brilliant orange-red and blue-purple. It was striking in its beauty. Gillian immediately took a picture.

Then we saw something more amazing. The same two vertical lines were on the other side of the sinking sun. Yet there was not a hint of rain or any type of precipitation that would warrant what resembled the beginning of a rainbow. Gillian snapped several pictures as none of us had seen anything like it before. Was this a sign? We all hoped it was - something to say that Josh is always with us - like a guardian angel.

Other pictures of the gorgeous sunset.

A photo of our whole family - honoring and remembering Josh. As we were walking to the beach, my nephew said it looked like we were on a field trip due to our matching shirts. I guess we were pretty conspicuous.

Josh - we miss you. Not only on this vacation, but each and every day. You are in our heart always. Rest in peace, my dear, sweet boy.

God Bless

Although we had a great time being with each other and celebrating Dad's 80th birth year and Thanksgiving, it was indeed a sad reminder of the loss of Josh. The Armour kids loved being with him, playing games with him, being his shadow(s). He certainly would have dominated the beach football game, paddle ball, and I would have pictured him wearing his shades and smirk while playing Texas Hold 'Em. Dear Josh, you are sadly missed. Our hopes are that you are at peace and are looking over us.

Josh, there is always this void when we are all together as a family. I constantly am thinking, "Josh should be here!! Can he really be gone?" You are so missed, Joshy. Please keep watching over us and letting us know you are still with us.

I noticed that rainbow as we were walking away while you were sitting on the beach. It looked almost circular to us and felt hopeful.

We missed Josh at every turn, and I really felt it the day I was wearing his rugby shirt.

I think about Josh often and remember the family in my prayers. I love the photos at the beach with the sunset. Often when I remember Josh I think of one of his favorite songs Somewhere Over the Rainbow and I really belive that he is where dreams come true!
Love to the family!

I love the family photo's. The brilliant light was beautiful and I totally believe it was Josh's spirit there with you. As you know we remembered Josh in our Christmas photo this year with the shirts and a photo of he and Bryce. Not a day goes by that someone in our house doesn't wear the one love shirt or a piece of Josh's clothing. I feel him with us all the time.

We love you......The Armes Family
