One of the most important things I learned in life is the power of a second chance. I thank you for the strength you have all shown in sharing your feelings and experiences during this tragedy. As a FCPS teacher, I pray that your story and the stories of others may promote change in FCPS policy where it is needed, or at the very least, make people think twice prior to their comments and actions. Let this be a reminder to all of us that even our smallest actions can effect someone else--both for good and for bad. That is not to say that others are to blame for our own actions but merely a reminder to take the opportunity to do something nice for someone else today. It may make a bigger difference than you'll ever know. My love to the Andersons.
I can not find the words to express how sad I am for your family. I knew Josh only as an adorable, happy little boy and can not fathom that this tragedy has happened. I admire your strength so much and as a psychologist who works with children and teenagers I truly applaud your efforts to let Josh's story be heard in the hopes of sparing another family such heartbreak. As a parent now, I can not even imagine what you are going through. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. - Lindsey
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I would like to dedicate a song from an upcoming project to Josh and donate a portion of the proceeds to the Josh Anderson Memorial. Please have someone contact me on Facebook or my email to discuss.
Song was written as encouragement, I hope I brings you comfort

Sue, I just wanted to connect with you and let you know how deeply sorry I am for you and your family. I am touched by your raw openness and desire to grieve with the world through this blog. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to be at the funeral. I am back in the DC area but was in NC at the time of Josh's death. I also wanted to let you know that what happened to Josh caused me to examine the part of myself that feels hopeless and it lead to some of the deepest pain and learning I have experienced in my life. Thank you. I love you.
